Stay aggressive open light til they catch on
whats the buy in and blind structure like? I would play more tournaments live if most didnt have 15 minute blind levels but then the buy in is too high for tournaments with better structures15 minute blind levels, 3000 starting chips, 35$, one rebuy. Super cheap tournament, usually 70-120 people play.

guy bust on the first hand, trip sevens queen kicker vs trip sevens king kicker. Crazy first hand.
dont do this, just play the proper ranges unless theres obvious exploits to be had

Anything longer and you basically have to dedicate the whole day if you're surviving or doing well. It's also soul crushing to play for 7 hours only to bubble, I know first hand.
thats pretty sweet tourney for the price level. You in Vegas? I never seen a live tourney under $60. Usually I late reg for tourneys with 15 min blind structure, I feel it gives me an advantage in push/fold situationsThe only non Asian card room in Sacramento, besides the infamous stones where that one guy got caught cheating
Lmao, what is thisPokermon

Yeah. Have to pay up for better structures but its usually worth it. I have made a conscious effort to play more tournaments this year and just picked spots with better structures. I had a small cash in the $1500 monster stack at WSOP over the summer and a few other small cashes but no binks yet.
Those low buy in tournaments usually really kill you with the rake. Im ok with fast blinds every once in a while and take some shots in 15 and 20 min blind sattys but cant deal with paying 20 or 30% rake (100+25$ type stuff).
Next on my radar are some events in early January that seem juicy at the Beau Rivage.
GL TC. Run good.
Oh shit double up already tc? I like how your chips arent on the felt lolNot a double up. Greens are only 25 and blacks are 100, purple 500, yellow 1000
Basically, play in enough volume and the rake will kill you in these smaller stake tourneys where it feels like you see 5 hands a level and youre never close to realizing your edgeMost people playing in low buyin stuff aren't playing in volume though, it's recreational. If I was seriously making a run at a positive slope then rake would bother me, but I don't mind the fees when I'm in town for weekend and want to splash around getting free drinks.
