Except they basically are bugs and I like to eat all 3 of those.

They're super closely related to the degree that there's discussion about if insects are crustaceans.

Shrimps are crusteceans, which are in the same family as cockroaches. Pretty sure insects and crusteceans are two different things, but I'm happy to be corrected.

How technical of a term is "bugs", anyway? I feel like worms, arachnids, insects, crustaceans, snails, etc could all fll under the umbrella of "bugs".

true "bugs" are insects of the hemiptera order, but the word is used for pretty much every arthropod and worm or even slugs/snails, so while the answer is technically no, it may as well be yes, and even clams are bugs by the layman's logic

There is a theory that people who are allergic to shrimp are actually allergic to dust mites, and shrimp are close enough (chemically) to set it off.

If someone says seriously that they are bugs I dunno....
