yea, I like "lyrical" rappers, but they don't tend to be my favorite.

my overall favorite is probably Pimp C or Drakeo the Ruler, and that has helped me appreciate other artists, like Paul Wall.

On a pure technical level, Eminem is better most rappers. Easily breaks the top 10, maybe even top 5 rappers of all time. I can't say any other white rappers even break the top 50.

And I don't even like Eminem that much. He has great verses and is an amazing feature on other artists songs. But I don't think his solo albums are that strong. MMLP comes close but it kinda falls flat during the second half imo.

I wouldn't call him the greatest ever, but he's definitely up there as one of the greats. And I still like his recent stuff. Kamikaze was a solid album. Fall was my favorite song in that album. "I can take all of you motherfuckers on at once. You wanted Shady? You got him!"

I'd listen to Watsky, Aesop Rock, Lil' Dicky and even Macklemore before I put on an Eminem album at this point. Eminem is certainly talented and has some incredible songs/verses, but as a whole his albums are pretty meh.
