When i grew up we wouldn't get snow days (Because in Canada it's just a fact of life), but we would get days where the yellow busses "weren't running" which means attendance strikes on students who couldn't make it. IE me. Then we'd need to get our parents to write in to say that the busses didn't run, because apparently the bus company's word wasn't good enough / other kids on a route would get rides.I also lived in Canada, and we'd get snow days all the time. Probably 5-10 in a school year. That was about 15years ago
In public school we'd get maybe 1 a year, but in highschool, never.
