I'm lookin to transition from console gaming over to pc in the next couple months. Was planning on getting a 4070 but might up it for the 4070 ti super.

i can't afford them so i'm not really giving it any thought.

kudos to you if you can afford them though, and you should definitely make the switch. PC gaming is sooooooo much better than console gaming. it doesn't even compare.

We've been saving up for a new pc and TV for a while. The pc is 10 years old and the TV nearly 13. I just don't see a benefit from console gaming anymore. There's hardly any exclusives, there's a ton of updates/mandatory installs even when you buy physical discs, paid online, and the current console gen hardware looks ugly as hell.

Get a 4070ti super and a TV that can do 120hz with built in vsync. You'll be set

Nah. The 40 series is a wash for me. I'm waiting to see how the 50 series turns out.

The 8GB in the 3070 is not aging well. Probably going to get a 4070TI super or a 4080 Super and then not upgrade for a while. I'm actually plenty happy with the power of the 3070, but the 8GB hobbles it.
