And it's not even the amenities. It's the privacy, the space. Amenities are nice, you get free food and free booze (on Air Canada), but its the simple fact that you dont have to tuck your elbows and knees in.
would i do it every time? no. Have i done it from an upgrade? yes. its great. Also the pilot usually comes out and shoots the shit with you when you are in 1C. Me myself i waved him off cuz i had work to do, but still, a nice gesture.
