They did Arthur so wrong, fuck John, Arthur should have died between the events of RDR1 and RDR2

Why blame John? He's awesome anyway.

Arthur is a great character, but his end is fitting.

it made sense, IMO.

Arthur's whole life was about his gang, after his son was killed, and the only woman he loved kept trying to manipulate him.

John still had his family, and without him, Jack took the outlaw life.
