Konami Digital Entertainment has established its own anime studio, Konami Animation, and the studio debuted its first animation, the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game The Chronicles" anime short to mark the game's 25th anniversary:

The studio has the tagline "Add (+) Anime to Konami." Konami Digital Entertainment will invest the CG technology and know-how it fostered from game development into animation. The studio plans not only to work on Konami's own intellectual properties but in other properties as well.

The short above debuted during the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: The Legend of Duelist Quarter Century" event at the Tokyo Dome venue on Saturday.

The way they showed Raye and Roze at the end made it seem like a Sky Striker anime might be on the horizon.

They should just make an actual anime about the monsters themselves.

I sure hope so. They gave the archetype a manga, so they have the whole story ready to go. The Albaz/Branded lore is the other one that I really hope gets an anime at some point. It doesn't have a manga, but it doesn't need one because there's already so much lore to tell a story with just from the card arts alone.

It's a celebration of 25 years of the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game itself, completely separate from the existing anime.

did you forget who these two are related to? It's not just Atem and they made it even clear by making a new Dark Magician to go with the new Yugi archetype Gold Sarc tonight they'll probably reveal the Dark Magician Girl version of that card next.

Man I really hope they don't give sky strikers an anime. They're the only ones who have anything in that manga, they need to give some other guys the spotlight.
