I'm not arguing against paying servers more. I'm making sure that it is known that in some establishments tips are shared because it's important for context in the discussion.Yeah, but in the end of the day, that still makes the tipping even more scummy, not less in those cases.
You should refrain from speaking forever. That's a strangely dehumanising thing to say to someone. Especially in context with the subject matter.

Good for you. That was such a clever comeback, man. Holy shit! Burn!!!! Fuck me! I am so shattered my balls are under the couch. You are such a powerful and intelligent being.
Good for you man. Good for you.How cool is Jesus tho, right?
Ah. Still not a whole lot has changed.Aren't you that dude that stalks other users for religious reasons? Sorry if I got you mixed up with someone else.
The only people who argue against tipping are the ignorant slobs who have never worked in the industry before. So sad, so pathetic.I argue against it. Worked in the industry as my starting point in the job market. Most of the slobs i know still works these roles in their 30s/40s and then come home to Fortnite and turning their bedroom into a coffin for their farts.

Or sensible people who think the people working should get a livable wage instead of living night to night on tips, just hoping to have a good night just to keep paying their bills
Somehow the rest of the world has figured it out but not the US...
The rest of the world doesn't have the bullshit mentality that the "customer is always right, even when they are wrong."
Being a waiter is not the victim card you think it is. Nobody's sympathetic
Many people are sympathetic to the people who work in that industry. The same with how they are sympathetic to housekeepers, agents that have to work as front desk staff at resorts, etc. It's just people such as yourself who are a vocal minority who think its alright to go to great lengths to make everyone else miserable. You are the problem.

No, paying a 15$ tip is not "going great lengths to make everyone else miserable".Honestly this topic makes me want to tip less now.
Stop assuming that everyone who tips less than you want is some human trash who harasses people for fun because they are pure evil.
Only pays a 10% tip? They definitely kicked a puppy as soon as they left!
That's bs.
Not really. I guarantee my job is tougher than yours, I make the same pay and I don't whinge about tips

First of all, my current job is nice because I no longer have to interact with the general public.
Second, with your personality you wouldn't get tips in the service industry anyway. In fact, you wouldn't be able to hold a job. Continue stirring in your bitterness though. ;)
First of all, my current job is nice because I no longer have to interact with the general public.sounds like the general public got a good deal too
Okay Karen.
Honestly this topic makes me want to tip less now.Personally, between my strong disdain of tip culture and the clown world takes coming from the pro-tip culture advocates here ITT I'll always tip no matter what, and always willing to tip generously for exceptional service.
There hasn't been anyone sensible arguing against tipping in this topic.
They like percentage because it means more money for no extra work. In terms of actual work the kitchen staff are doing more anyway, yet some of the people here think they don't deserve any portion of the tips. If tipping was based on having to interact with customers then plenty of other professions would deserve tips too.
I wipe elderly asses for minimum wage and don't expect tips

You'd have to have read a single post from this topic wrongly and then ignored my entire posting history to come to the conclusion you just did.
People like that Omega guy, hockeybub, and that Erica person are just debasing themselves and making everyone in the industry look like entitled, elitist, greedy brats. At that point it's not even a matter of helping out people who make less in hourly wages, they actually think that waiters/waitresses are somehow entitled to more money than everyone else struggling in minimum wage jobs.
Working class traitors, I'd say.

Now be quiet.

No you don't.
