I've only seen the first one in each franchise but Nightmare on Elm Street was actually good so that one
yeah it could be the elm movies. Freddy vs jason was a great movie though. Very underrated.
Nightmare probably has 4 good movies between 1, 2, 3 and New Nightmare.

Friday I would thiiiiink the only real quality one is 4 with Dancin' Crispin Glover.

Never actually saw Friday the 13th... I hesitate to get started on it since I tried to marathon Halloween and got burned out on like the fifth movie.

I like more Friday the 13th movies but I like the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie more than any of them.

Never liked Friday the 13th. Nightmare on Elm St actually gave me nightmares as a kid. Gotta respect a movie like that.

Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy is a lot more entertaining than Jason.

I think that Elm Street has higher peaks and lower valleys than the Friday the 13th movies, which are pretty consistently at a 6/10 for me.

That said, I gravitate towards Elm Street overall.

If I'm allowed to say that A Nightmare on Elm Street Part III is the end of the Nightmare trilogy, and disregard the shitty sequels that followed, I'd go with that. If I have to take the respective series as a whole, Friday the 13th.

The original Friday the 13th lags behind the first Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street entries for quality. Yet, the series is the most consistent. It doesn't make you care about characters only to kill them off in the sequel.

Nightmare on Elm Street was the first horror film I ever saw, so that series has always been my favorite.

Although the Friday the 13 in space is some of the most fantastic cheesiness ever put on screen, and I love it.

I am thinking of Jason X, which came out in the early 2000s sometime (2001 maybe?). It is so ridiculous and fun. Highly recommended!

I liked Freddy v. Jason. Nothing about it was particularly great, but I had been waiting for those two to fight since I was a kid so I was the target audience. I enjoyed it.

I didnt particularly like the remake of Friday or Elm Street. Cant really put my finger on why, but neither film did much for me.
