Thats like saying you support EVs but run to safety when the one youre driving catches fire.
That's not analogous to this situation at all. This is one of the very situations that these people argue guns should be carried for. But this dude is a cowardly hypocrite who will watch others suffer the consequences of his policy from a safe distance.
It'd be like if someone openly advocated for EVs then bought a big fucking pickup truck and rolled coal with it.
