I feel really sorry for completionists that try to do everything and get every gem and box in a level. I just beat the level and never look back, the 100% route seems like an exercise in madness. 8 gems per level, seriously?
some of the boxes are straight up maliciously hidden, too.
and jesus fuck the cortex levels are miserable. in fact, fuck all the non-crash levels. and extra fuck that one bayou level.
the inverted levels should have shared rewards then it would be better.
What are shared rewards?I think they just mean if you got the gem in the normal level you wouldn't have to do it in the N. Verted
I actually haven't even attempted to go back to a stage to try inverted level. I'll do it once just to see how bad it issome are fine, to be fair. it almost seems like different people decided different levels, instead of one designer with a vision for how they should all be
Don't bother going for completion. Just finish the level and move onto the next, it's just not fun.
I should go back to the N Sane Trilogy one of these days but if I recall correctly I got stuck on the icy rope bridge in the first game and just yeeted the fuck out, uninstalling after the actual 50th or so try.Ah, yeah that level is notorious for making people rage. And the remake actually makes it harder because of the changes to the physics.

If it helps, you can try to cheese it by jumping into the ropes on the side. It's still a hard jump to land, but I've you're up there you can just walk across.

That's not unlike the original trilogy which had good levels and bad levels. For my part the levels I loved in 3 (my favorite of the Crash games) were the ancient egypt/medieval times/arabian nights levels, and I disliked everything else. Those were the only levels I bothered to get gems for and do some time relics which I never like or bother to doI loved almost every level in Crash 3. Especially the vehicle levels. The variety was so cool to me as a kid. Crash 2 is still my favorite because I loved all of the cool hidden levels
I used to play Crash Bandicoot with my buddy as he was recovering from the tumor that eventually came back and killed him. So as a tribute I decided I'd beat Crash 4.
I died I believe 127 times on the fucking goddamn second to last level.
