You do realize this is intentional, right? They're trying to go after demographics that won't immediately write the game off by seeing marketing materials geared towards children.

I would assume that the niche in Elle's readership who would be interested in this game would be insignificant enough to not even put the effort in. This would assume that people would already have a Nintendo Switch. If they already have a Nintendo Switch, there's no need to have an interview in some writing form, a video with the actress would suffice.

Brie Larson says she's been a fan of Princess Peach from way back. I'd have been impressed if the interviewer said something like "I bet you were pretty disappointed with Super Princess Peach being all about her mood swings, right?".
