Trade-in value at least. Yes it is in good working condition. Some wear and scratches from having it all these years but god damn I feel lowballed.

Just did some quick shop around and I see people sell theirs for well over 6K and their miles are over 200k. Oh well, ain't like imma ever sell/trade my MDX. Imma drive it until it dies.
Don't like it? Don't watch it. It's that simple

I sold my 2006 car to Carmax last year for $700. Fixing the air conditioning would have cost me like $3,000 so I thought the price was more than fair

Yeah, that is pretty insulting.
Many Bothans died to bring you this post.
A truck that heavy at 147k miles is where abouts youd start to get into possibly having to fix major things.

if its absolutely clean, 4k seems fair.

What was wrong with it? I remember back in 2016 or 2017, I took my 2002 Firebird into Firestone to fix the AC and they told me the AC compressor was leaking and needed to be replaced, and it was $919 to fix. Said I'll fix it myself and walked out since I was broke. I know almost nothing about cars. But I watched a video on youtube and got with a friend who had the tools, and we fixed it together although it took like 8 or 9 hours.

AC can entail a bunch of things that could be replaced. Big thing is radiator and compressor. Dropping and replacing the rad is a fair bit of work depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

3k seems high Id say the average on an easy replace is around $1800-2000

Nothing is an easy replace on a PT Cruiser.
