I might actually like a Superman movie? I thought super girl from the flash did a great job. That goth look with the big knockers and such. Hope they bring her back somehow.

This and Deadpool are probably the only super hero movies I am even remotely interested in, I think James Gunn understands the Superman character and knows how to make a good movie about him. Hopefully

Have all of these characters been announced or is he just casually dropping spoilers?

Specifically talking about Hawkgirl (there might be others, I'm not well-versed on lesser-name DC heroes), because Lex Luthor being in a Superman movie is no spoiler at all.

Maybe this is a hot take, but I never cared for Cavills Superman. Hes a great actor, but I think hes better suited to brooding characters like Geralt.

I found Tyler Hoechlins performance in Superman and Lois to be way more enjoyable

Of course part of it is that Zack Snyder is a garbage director and his vision of Superman was terrible to begin with.

No, but after he thought they had moved on WB or James Gunn called him and told him they wanted him back, he made a public announcement, and then they said "akshually we want someone else".

That wasn't James Gunn. That was The Rock, his production company and whoever was in WB backing them up.

After Black Adam flopped they ditched all of their previous plans and went to James Gunn who decided to reboot most of it.

Im pretty sure Gunn had planes for rebooting everything from the start. He wanted new young actors in their young 20s or so for the universe and Cavil is 40yo.

Tbh this was a blessing, the universe was in limbo and at this point was just holding him back from other commitments so letting him go ultimately was for the best.

That and if you want to blame anyone, blame synder for ruining the universe in the first place.

Two things:

Noho Hank was one of the best characters on tv.

I'm old and admittedly stuck in the past on entertainment from my childhood era so Christopher Reeve will always be Superman to me and I will always put the 1978 film as my top Superman movie.
