Tl;dw:

-Performance Mode is still blurry and looks terrible on 4K set.

-Overall worse shadows, lightings and textures when compare to Remake (the PS5 version).

-It's a price to pay since Rebirth is bigger in scope.

-Graphics Mode is stable 30fps most of the time. Performance Mode isn't too bad but can definitely drop bellow 60fps (in combat especially) when too many stuffs happen at once.

-They also said it seems like Square hasn't fully grasped UE4 yet hence why optimization is so spotty.

-Game definitely could use more patches/updates to clean things up.

-Hope for a PS5 pro upgrade in the future?

It definitely needs a patch. I'm really bad at noticing shit, but even I'm noticing the pop-in. It's horrifically bad, you just see ground clutter foliage load in in an aura around Cloud.

The SSR may be the worst i've seen. Tons of artifacts and ghosting. There's ghosting elsewhere too, it's just especially bad when you're near water

UE4? Wasn't Sony touting UE5 before the PS5's launch? Now there's talk of PS6 being worked on with few UE5 stuff around (is anyone amazed at Sand Land?).

Probably cheaper licensing fees

Even in graphics mode all the scenery looks really muddy.

Also I don't see SE making the effort to add RT for the PC version, so the SSR issues will probably be present there as well.
