I thought the Bowen skit was pretty funny.

They didn't even get to the entire back row. They pronounced the gay judge and then like every other judge had a focus on that gay judge. I don't care about cause he's gay or anything, just pointing out that like the entire back row of 4 judges was never even visited.

SNL has been the same show since it's inception.

Some skits become all time classics.
Some are funny.
Some are mildly amusing.
Some are flatter than a plate of piss.

But SNL is also a lot like music, in the sense that everyone thinks "their era" of SNL is the best.
It takes zero effort to be a good person.

Ive been going back and watching some older SNL episodes (started in the mid 90s and am up into the 2000s now) and the show is pretty much as good now as it was then. Theres a LOT that just isnt funny, but theres usually one or two decent to good sketches an episode and Weekend Update is usually the highlight, same as now. I dont think anyone on the cast now is as funny on their own as Will Ferrell, but the episodes themselves are all pretty much just as funny.
