I played and loved Aegis Rim 13 Sentinels.

I think "Unicorn Overlord" is their latest release? Is this game any good?
How are the other Vanillaware games?
Ok

From what I understand, it plays like the Ogre Battle games (not Tactics Ogre). Map movement is in real time, but your units will then enter smaller scale RPG battles when they encounter enemies.

It's not individual units, but you make small parties out of them. You don't get full control in battle, but set up AI routines/conditions to affect their behavior. Bits of rock paper scissors involved in balancing, but multiple loops of it.

Game's not out yet so it's hard to say if it's fully good or not. There's a free demo that lets you play the game from the beginning for up to 7 hours if you want to try it.
There's a demo out on all the consoles so try it and see. It's like the old Ogre Battle games. Pretty cool but not for everybody.

Odin Sphere is a very solid game. It's mostly a platformy-fighter but it has some RPG elements to it.

Dragon Crown is a side scrolly beat em up, with a bit of Diablo on the side. Lots of fun with couch co-op, solo it's average to above average.

I'm salivating over Unicorn Overlord, but it's not released yet.
Remember that I won't rest, 'til we share the same tense
Just know, to me, you're better late than never again.
Dragons Crown is a top 5 beat em up/couch co-op game imo

Other than the excessive horniness
Common sense says it may not taste good, but it'll make a turd.
My only experience with Vanillaware is Dragons Crown. I love the art, the characters, the story, the music, and the narration, but its just so incredibly repetitive that I cant stay engaged.

Im interested in Unicorn Overlord, but I may hold off and check it out down the road.
