what exactly happened again i remember a space buu showing upHercule taught Fat Buu that killing was wrong and became a sort of father figure to Buu. Then two gunman trying to get famous by killing Buu accidentaly seemingly killed Hercule which made Fat Buu release Evil Buu. Evil Buu absorbed Fat Buu becoming Super Buu a complete monster that was a genocidal maniac.

Goku and Vegeta were already dead by that point, and Gotenks had already fought (and lost) against fat Buu.
Piccolo was watching the entire thing from Kami's lookout, and knew Hercule had turned Buu. While it wouldn't have made for the most exciting conclusion, there's no reason to believe the Z fighters would escalate the situation further. It would have ended there if not for the two gunmen.

I don't, since Vegeta already fought and lost hard to fat Buu (he went so far as to blow himself up and it didn't accomplish anything). If given the chance, he'd prioritize protecting his family over getting his ass kicked again.

Its always been the weirdest of the bunch in tone, but I figured he was trying to go back to the lighter tone of the dragonball days with the heavier power levels.From what I know, Toriyama basically went "fuck you editors imma do whatever I want" and pretty much just did whatever came to mind that particular chapter
