because the amount of lead isn't enough to take it off store shelves. your understanding of its existence has little to do with that fact either.

Dark chocolate is delicious, I gravitate a lot more to it as an adult to the point where I can't stand how sweet milk chocolate is

Dark chocolate ruins everything it's in. When using chocolate in cooking, every recipe calls for dark chocolate and it's hard to find a good baking milk chocolate. It's annoying.

Strictly in terms of taste, milk chocolate of course. Dark chocolate is good too though, you have to approach it like drinking wine or something.

I'm surprised you are focusing on lead in chocolate when cadmium is far more toxic and the effects are permanent and accumulative whereas lead can be flushed out by the body and damages are healed after just a few months after you stop consuming it.
