Still haven't gotten mine. Checked the mail the other day, and I had a letter post marked the 7th saying I needed to verify my identity.

I don't buy anything with my return but it just so happens to pretty much coincide with my house insurance being due for the year so it pretty much makes that a wash. Since my house is completely paid off and I have no mortgage rather than having my taxes and insurance paid by my lender I pay that directly.

So once a year I pay those and my house insurance comes due about the time I get my tax return.

I got mine a few days ago. it was $500 higher than what I thought it would be prior to filing. so far I haven't bought anything and probably won't.

I did get a cool bonus tax refund for the 2022 tax year because Whitmer is bae, but that went towards medical stuff.

Yeah it's a nice trade off but everytime insurance or property taxes roll around I'm like "damn already" it's why I do property taxes once for the whole year rather than each 6 months because every 6 months just feels like it happens way too fast.

I used freetaxusa this time but the year prior I went to HnR block whose services cost me $250 if I recall.

Idk if thats their minimum rate or what but if its the same no matter what then Id either owe them money or have gotten next to nothing back if that was the case.

They clarified it was, indeed, what the services cost, but they also implied they went in person, which makes sense. In-person services definitely do have a much higher cost.

The H&R Block online software is worth using, I think it's even free, or a very minimal cost, but you do have to do everything yourself, there's nobody doing it for you.

Just a cheap Chime one from Ashley Furniture. I'm thankfully not a very picky sleeper, it's worked well for me so far.

Nah, I hear you and I get it. I've only splurged once on a mattress, and that's because I intend to keep it for at least another 15 years. That and I put money away specifically for it.

Not that you asked me but after having a waterbed for most of my life from the 80s up until just 2 years ago I decided to get rid of it because of the upkeep and getting harder and harder to find the mattresses and heaters. It was a true free float waterbed with absolutely no baffles in it. Super comfy bed.

Anyway I decided to get a mattress. At first I bought a nice memory foam but ultimately didnt like it. After I sunk in whenever Id roll over it felt like I was laying in uneven ground because it didnt bounce back fast enough.

Long story short I exchanged it and ended up going with the top Sealy Hybrid mattress. It has a combo of both memory foam and coils and honestly its perfect. I slightly sink into the memory foam and its so comfy but if I roll over or move it snaps back and readjusts to my body. I fall asleep inside 5 minutes every night and sleep soundly. Its so comfortable.

It was only $3,000 too which was reasonable. Absolutely an excellent purchase.

I'm confused. Did you get an HRAP, a leverless, or both? Or was this leverless modded from the original HRAP shown on the box.

And I just used my refund on my credit card bills and rest just sitting in my bank account. Might transfer it to my brokerage and buy some stocks.
