On New Years Day, if you talk to Tortimer, he will give you a special shirt with the year emblazoned on its back. These go all the way up to 2035.

City Folk, as a Wii title, released in 2008.

I wonder how many people are still grinding this out the legit way?

I'm kind of surprised they didn't go all the way to 2037. Unix time ends in 2038 and chances are Animal Crossing's clock uses Unix time.
