8 pm eastern time releases need to become a regular thing for digital games, lol.

Usually this is the kind of thing I had to rely on my local gamestops for, but they definitely haven't been doing the 8/9/ or even midnight release thing like they used to. *Last one I went to was the super mario wonder and spider-man 2 dual release.*

I was expecting final fantasy 7 rebirth to have one of those early phyiscal pick-ups but got a whole lot of nothing this time around.

oh i just remembered that even the 1st game was kind of demanding on the cpu. i remember a 6900k couldnt run it at a constant 120 fps when i played it (and this was a game released on the ps3!!!!). would drop to the 60s-80s in some areas. wasn't till i upgraded to a 9900k that the game could hold a stable 120 fps.

so a game released in 2012 for a console released in like 2006?? took a year 2018 CPU to run it stable. maybe the 8700k released prior was adequate but still a large gap in years.

my 9900k is prob screwed w/ this game plus my gpu is old as well lol. ill buy it and do a quick test if i cant handle its performance. im fully expecting a 30 fps experience but it its like super fucky and stuttering im refunding

neither, i think. it's just its own thing. some reviews even say it's more like a reimagining of the first game than a proper sequel, story-wise

My steam install WAS going fast and then slowed to a comparative crawl, probably because more and more people installing. Probably about 5-6 min left until it is done.
The commercial says that Church isn't for perfect people, I guess that's why I'm an atheist.

I appreciate when games release separate character creation demos a week or so before the actual game releases.....I am the type that takes like 2 hours tweaking my character so to get all that done way beforehand is nice. Already got my character+cat man pawn set up n' ready to go.

EDIT: Eh, guess they changed their mind about that earlier in the afternoon release lol. Mine is just showing the same ol' midnight eastern time release.

I accidentally throttled my download speed too hard. I don't want to fully saturate my bandwidth, so I keep it capped on Steam. Wish Steam would get with the times and stop displaying in KB/s.
