If you git gud at the dagger dodge rolling, you can run past a lot of stuff to get to the next room. Might need more than min. level to reach discipline level 5 in strider for it, though. But I've done it a few times now. Can always reload from the last door. Really isn't that bad... And picking up and throwing those mages to insta-kill them w/ gravity is so satisfying.Enemies can't hurt what they can't hit, ofc. It only works until you get knocked-down by a lunge or an AOE attack.
Advice, and nobody spoil this, but iykyk; Do not go Bitterblack Isle til after you beat the game. Why? Because death is on the island
ok! Before NG+, do the BBI?Nah, don't listen to him. Go there whenever you feel like it. Absolutely don't quit the game w/o going there, if you decide the main game isn't for you.
Nah, don't listen to him. Go there whenever you feel like it. Absolutely don't quit the game w/o going there, if you decide the main game isn't for you.More like a nice warning lol But TC, if you go to BBI, tag me when you get why I said to wait, and I've got a story I have save til then
Just remember running away from stuff is a valid strategy. You don't have to fight everything you meet.
11 hours in, met with the duke for the first timeIt's a little iffy.
How far am I in the quest? halfway, a third, a fourth?
There's gonna be areas that you might want to explore really thoroughly rather than run straight through the remaining plot, but you could technically walk in and finish the area's plot in like ten minutes.
Maybe have been playing this on easy, by mistake. had my Steam friends' pawns at 10-20-30 higher levels than mine, didn't notice because they were 0 pts lolNah, Pawns made by your friends are free, and so are Pawns at and below your level. Oh, and the level of the support Pawns in your party affect your exp gains. Pawns stronger than you give less exp, whilst Pawns under your level give you more exp.
everyone's at my level now, through the public Rift. whoops
I didn't do any Big Black Isle stuff at all cause it sounded like a pain in the butt.Omfg omfg omfg it's the best part of the game tho . How could you
What it's the best part of the game tho
You really need to do as much damage as possible in BBI.It's the only place I'd use periapts.
It was fun for a few hours, but the awkward fast travel mechanics and repetitive combat encounters got to me and I couldn't finish it.
that golem was a grind. died towards the end, think I was fighting for 30+ minutesI once beat the Golem at the Tomb of the Unknown Traveler (Vestad Hills) at a very low level. It fell over the edge when it died and its *prize*--the loot sack--got stuck halfway down.
will return with better pawns and destroy it. the combat wasn't hard, just wasn't doing anything lmao (level 27)
