I miss masksThere's nothing stopping you from wearing one.
Wear a mask in publicIll only disagree with that part, because people legit got fired for not complying to vaccine mandates. Especially if you had a government job.
Don't stand too close to strangers
Get vaccines if you want them
Nothing will happen to you if you're an asshole and ignore all this
Truly we were experiencing a preview of Biden's dictatorship. Republicans said it was basically Nazi Germany or North Korea.
my favorite part was all the fragile little snowflakes who were throwing tantrums in drugstores knocking over mask displays and shit, and whining about how having to wear a mask in public during the height of a viral pandemic was "government tyranny". like, lmfao, yeah fucking right. those people had absofuckinglutely no concept of what actual government tyranny is like, and i guarantee you that if they HAD ever experienced it, they would be shitting themselves. That kinda shit just made all the big bad freedom tough guys look like frauds. Oh sure, you're totally gonna go to war if Biden wins another election. You can't even handle an underpaid 20-something cashier asking you politely to step back without throwing a temper tantrum!
Ill only disagree with that part, because people legit got fired for not complying to vaccine mandates. Especially if you had a government job. That's just the free market at work
So to say nothing will happen is kinda disingenuous. I understand your point, but I dont necessarily agree with it.
That's just the free market at workOk, but to say nothing happened to those people, like their life didnt change because of their decisions, is flat out incorrect.
I live in MississippiWhich part of the state?
It was like the Olympics to get away from idiots
Which part of the state?I was 45 minutes east of Jackson at that time in Scott County. Middle of nowhere. Live in a different (richer) part now

I dont blame you one bit. The Jackson area is.rough.Well I lived out in the country. Between Forest and Newton. Wasn't shit there lol
Just fyi being confined to your house for a year actually fucking sucks

Dude was red faced rage screaming at her because she asked him to out a mask on. So I got between them, told her to go get the manager, and dude started screaming at me.
Just fyi being confined to your house for a year actually fucking sucksYeah, I feel a lot of guilt for the fact that the pandemic was basically the best thing for me. I was able to buy a house in socal because my industry did well during the pandemic and I made a ton of money, I was able to cut off friends that I had grown apart from, I was able to spend time reading books which I hadn't really done since college, I got in great physical shape, etc. and I had no deaths in people close to me or I cared for.
Everyone: So there's this virus killing the world, can we please take a few measures to save countless lives?Dutchies:

i dont disagree with it but you dont need to downplay that the pandemic itself was actually very fucking oppressive to everyone to dunk on idiot right wingerslmao it wasn't oppressive at all. A couple minor inconveniences and everyone lost their shit. I regret mentioning Republicans in the second part of my OP because it wasn't just them who were affected.
lmao it wasn't oppressive at all. A couple minor inconveniences and everyone lost their shit. I regret mentioning Republicans in the second part of my OP because it wasn't just them who were affected. You really gotta be extremely online to think essentially being confined to your house save for grocery shopping (and work, if you didnt lose your job and were deemed essential) for an entire year is a minor inconvenience
And yet I'm supposed to believe right-wingers will start a civil war, or that we'll stage a revolution if the GOP takes over. We couldn't even handle wearing masks and not going to large social gatherings for a little bit without getting traumatized.
I mean I get your point TC but it also depends on where you livedYeah, this. It was absolutely justified and necessary, and was the right thing to do in the circumstances, but it did also have a very oppressive feel to it. Extreme situations call for extreme measures, that's just reality.
you basically couldnt be inside at a place with other people for the better part of a year, so no gatherings, events, essentially no getting out of the house etc

Man, if we are gonna go off the definition, you try being someone immunocompromised or someone with Long COVID (there are millions of us and that number is steadily growing) and being gaslit for disagreeing every time the CDC loosened mitigations right before or during surges in order to get people back to work.hey that sucks too!
Golden eel really living up to his label of not being the sharpest tool regarding covid and being safe with itMan I didnt do fucking anything for a god damn year and a half
Setting aside anything COVID related, the coordinated push back to the office was so shitty. We figured out a legitimate way to fight climate change by reducing air and road traffic and it was all thrown away. Sure, a lot of companies adopted full time or hybrid WFH models, but nowhere near enough. Even Biden was in on it by pushing for federal workers to get back in the office.Luckily, my whole team at work is still remote
Mind blowing. We are not a serious species.
