Okay Mom, they're family, I get it, but if you feel the need to say this about people you are inviting for Easter, why are you inviting them?

As an introvert, I've gotten better over the years in some regards, but this house is just flooded with people that I would rather not be around.

She's a gen x'er and grew up poor. Strong familial bonds means a lot to her. I understand family had to stick together, but a lot of her side nowadays fell in with the wrong crowds.

To me, I'd rather be around people that share values I was taught by her to value. Those values are not held by her side of the family.

A discovery I've realized since I was a wee lad.

I'd rather be working than be around these people.

If they're already in the house... what does it matter if.. nevermind.
