Ask him about his bonuses. Like how much he takes in bonus money.
That one is easy, since were a government contractor I looked up our contract! He makes about $400k/year, which isnt a lot for a CEO of ~10k employees. However, the bonus structure is 0.25% of entire payroll split between the CEO and his 13 direct reports (executive managers) per year. The way its split wasnt defined in the contract from my quick read, so I bet its not an even split. But for funsies, lets said it is:
$120k average salary * 10k employees * 0.25% = $3,000,000 / 14 people = $215k/year in bonuses, should they meet targets.
