Among those sports, definitely the least athletic but likely the most skilled.

For sure. Ever since they cracked down on steroids, baseball has become 100x more lame, and so no one cares.

I haven't watched baseball in years, but there was a point where everything dropped off MASSIVELY, and dudes weren't just pumping out home run records anymore lol

extension of muscle. Its not being more athletic but it is stretching the body to extreme lengths.

so just depends how you define athletic

The AL home run record was broken just 2 years ago. Pitchers also throw harder than ever so hitting has become much harder.

Baseball became a pitching paradise when they cracked down on steroids but looked the other way when pitchers were cheating. They're still are btw.

The current trend is grinding out young arms into the dirt to achieve high strikeouts and low ERA. Starters no longer pitch 6+ innings even if they're doing well. The best teams tend to have the most robust bullpens.
