She's on the record with wanting the old law.

You know that doesn't matter for Republicans. So was Blake Masters on abortion and after Dobbs passed he scrubbed his page as if we'd all forget.

They will say whatever they need to say in the moment and by and large the electorate will accept whatever they're currently saying at face value, as will our feckless corporate media.

Something I found morbidly funny is that this law predates women's suffrage.

For me it's that this law predates their statehood.

As Cyborg said, any laws made prior to statehood should be automatically thrown out and never again open for discussion.

I also think the Border/Ukraine bill just completely broke her. She was one of the main architects of the Senate's bipartisan bill. It got through the Senate just to ne murdered in the crib by the GOP House for pure election politics reasons. I caught an interview of hers with NPR during the whole saga and she just sounded fundamentally defeated.

Oh my, did she perhaps actually learn that her former Dem party weren't just a bunch of haters who refused to work with the GOP and came to discover just how vile and vindictive that party actually is?

Though I guess that would imply she was capable of learning lessons and I didn't see that during her time as a Senator.
