He retired from football in 78-79 just before I have memories of watching in 1980 but they still talked about him a lot and showed highlights. He was a beast.
He was in an HBO made show from the mid 80s to the early 90s called 1st and Ten that was hilarious and I liked him on that and then of course the Naked Gun movies.
Ill always remember that stuff before the big event that obviously most people remember him for. I cant help it. They are just part of my core memories growing up.
