Back in the day youd make a topic and it would be on page 3 before youd even refreshed the page. Its a lot more manageable these days tbh.

Obviously my thread title wasn't as catchy as yours to spark a discussion but still tracked it after the daily purge it basically went down day after day. It got to about 650 topics and 28K posts right before CE went private and that sparked a lot of posts/threads.

You are doing this tracking in a new era though. When I was doing it a couple weeks ago CE was public. Now it is private. So there are discussions about CE being private, the recent rule changes, and the state of the site that wasn't there a couple weeks ago.

Might be best to start tracking after the CE becoming private stuff dies down. Since that is kinda sparking a lot of threads. But yea will be interesting to see if CE becoming private causes a sharper drop off. Or it saved the board.

Oh yeah. I think that was on the cards someone else mentioned that as well. (Might have been you). Be interesting to see where we are in a months time.

When we get a few weeks in and the initial drama has settled down we'll be able to take stock properly.

The reason I opted for the 7 day rolling is it will flatten out any changes that occur during the weekly cycle and give us a more rounded figure.
