I was sitting here wondering why I hadnt seen a certain user lately, especially after todays news and looked and see they are in purgatory. They probably dont even know of the change. I wont name them, not sure if they have an alt but they are on CE a lot and post a lot. It would be pretty crazy if they were already locked out forever. Or will this purgatory not count against them? Just curious.

I believe that part of the change was implemented immediately, so anyone who is currently purged / banned will be locked out of CE forever

They said users that currently got access to CE.
Purged accounts dont have access to CE.
GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site. -CJayC

Was wondering about that too. I don't think we got a clear answer on that yet. Although this:

" Every user who has visited GameFAQs in the last year and who currently has access to the board will retain access to the board. "

..seems to imply that they're indeed already locked out.

Which in some cases is good riddance.

I see a couple of people on my friends list who seem like theyre locked out, including one in purg. Theres a mod who hasnt visited in over a year as well, though realistically theyll still have access as long as theyre a mod.
