Tarantino had been rewriting the script, which had delayed production, and decided he's not moving forward with 'The Movie Critic', with Deadline reporting he had a change of heart.

He's still sticking with only making 10 films and is back to the drawing board for his final movie.

THR is reporting that the script had morphed into a potential prequel or sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, with Brad Pitt reprising his role as Cliff Booth, and Tarantino just decided to scrap it altogether.

(I just stole the exact post from Reddit)

Crazy news, honestly

Probably couldn't get the rights to Jay Sherman.
Without truth, there is nothing.
Probably for the best.

I can't imagine a Tarantino movie about film critique being anything other than self-fellating.

He technically considers Kill Bills 1 and 2 a single film, so that might be his out to make another movie in a decade or so.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.
sweet, now my chances of being a featured extra in a Quistis Directino film has gone from 0% to 3%

My sentiments exactly. I wasn't particularly excited over this being his pick as final film

I saw an interview clip of him saying that he could imagine making a movie about John Brown as his last film. I'd be down for it.

Why did you scrap it?

It stinks.
See you next Wednesday.
That concept was boring from the get go. Give us Kill Bill 3, dammit.
He's all alone through the day and night.
Its just too bad Michael Madsen and John Travolta are too old to do that Vega Brothers movie because that would have been top tier if it was done only 4 or 5 years after Pulp Fiction.

I wouldn't mind an old grumpy Vega brothers still trying to be relevant gangsters in 2024 movie. That actually sounds hilarious
I don't know why he's sticking to this 10 films limit

Kill Bill was intended to span 3 movies, but Uma Thurman was injured while driving the blue convertible in one of the films.

So that pretty much took vol 3. out of the running.
