I dunno. Even with the betrayal, a 1 and done death does not sound as bad as ceaseless dizzying agony. Plus, you ever see what happens to those guys that put thier bike against a merry-go-round to spin it really fast?

Secret Exit
To reach the secret goal, Mario must use a Cape Feather and Yoshi to glide under the regular goal, and then jump off Yoshi onto solid ground just before the plumber falls into an abyss. There, he can walk on to find a 3-Up Moon and the secret goal.

Where does that say this was intended? Anyway you don't need to use Yoshi to do it. I never did. This is how I did it:

How is it the intended solution just because a usercreated wiki mentions only the easiest solution?

I don't believe that's the intended solution. That's more of a speed running strat tbh.

Uhh... isn't that just an empty shell? Pretty sure the Koopa fucking dies when Mario snaps their necks. That shell bouncing back and forth is an inanimate object.
My head's not torn off, my sunglasses aren't broken. Amen, hallelujah, peanut butter.
The 1-up exploit in the original SMB. That turtle is probably mush inside that shell.

Yeah probably right as another shell less koopa can crawl inside and use it.

If you jump on a koopa once and leave it sitting there, the turtle reemerges after a few seconds. They don't die from the bounce; they just retract into their shell.
The food here is terrible. My steak was so tough it attacked my coffee and the coffee was too weak to defend itself.

Explain how in some levels koopas can enter into a shell then? You can't believe they have two koopas in there at once!

IIRC, the breakable blocks weren't Toads. The ones that don't break and give you items are the ones that are supposed to be the transformed Toads.

1) in some games, bouncing on a koopa will send it shooting out of its shell, leaving it empty.

2) an empty shell found by a shell-less koopa is probably just that: empty. It's known that in the world of Super Mario, koopas wear their shells - they're not part of their bodies like real world turtles.

3) even if you treat all that as an inconsistency (which it's not), it's not something I have to explain, because you can see what I said happens happen in the old games. Your question doesn't aid your argument that the koopa is dead off the first bounce, which is demonstrably false.

Hell, in at least one of the old games the koopa will pop back out while you're carrying it.

Turtles shells are not separate from their body, so when Mario jumps on a koopa trooper he is literally ripping off their skeleton

A turtle's shell isn't a skeleton. And they wear a-shirts and boxers under their shells.

After looking into it more, you're right. I was always under the impression that the carapace was made of keratin, not bone (I didn't think it would be quite that simple, but ya know) - but now I've learned that it's more complex than I thought! Always glad to get a better understanding.

Thinking you do know about something, then finding out you were wrong, or at least that there's more to it than you thought, is how we end up knowing more.

I don't think pretending to know something and being wrong is the most practical way to learn things, but you do you boo
