I'm not a PC gamer by any stretch, but about 12-13 years ago I wanted to give the original Fallouts a shot, so I bought a collection for my old laptop and tried to get into them.
Fallout 1 had an insane graphical bug that made it completely unplayable; someone hooked me up with a patch that I believe fixed it, but I still didn't go back to it.
I got maybe 5-6 hours into Fallout 2, and was finally starting to get over the learning curve and enjoy it...but then my laptop died on me. I've used Macs exclusively since then, so I haven't had a chance to try them again (I know there's programs that let you game on Mac, but I just haven't been arsed to try them out).
Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read.
