Mr whites, that's right!
That Vito arc in last season of Sopranos didnt age well.
Hey now.
The Sopranos is S tier while BB is A+ tier. To me BB is more exciting while TS is deeper, if that makes sense. Better Call Saul might even be better than BB actually.

because you probably like the over the top Hollywood set pieces of BB, ie Dead Freight.

unpopular opinion: the giant magnet in BB was dumb as fuck
lick 'em
Breaking Bad wouldn't exist without The Sopranos.
I think best part about Sopranos is there are so many comedic scenes. Like that one where the two dudes tried extorting the Starbucks manager. Or the Pine Barrens episode.
Hey now.
I liked the Sopranos, but I didn't like the season where it got "artsy" when Tony's in the coma (I think; it's been a while).

also, I wasn't feeling the final season that much, where some of the resolutions felt kinda weak.

so, I've got to give my vote to Breaking Bad (and Better Call Saul).

I do prefer The Wire over them, though.

I don't know how you thought the Sopranos ending was weak when Breaking Bad randomly brought in the neo nazis.

how was that a bad thing (story-wise)?

Sopranos is the better show if you're just talking about overall quality. HBO obviously gave them their full backing. And it starts in the first-second episode already going up to full throttle in terms of showcasing what the show-runners/producers were capable of. Even if you don't like some of the story-lines or happenings past Season 4 (between Season 4 and Season 5 there was also a production break), still, the show delivers.

Breaking Bad takes a good while to hit its stride. You could argue that it's not even until the second season that it took things up a notch. But then that show pretty much kills it until the end, and the story content is extremely edgy so everybody who has followed the story until that point and stays with it just loves it that extra more. But yeah, I think in terms of a show's delivery/presentation being on point from front to back...I personally think that was part of why they wanted to make Better Call Saul, since at that point they had the cache to do anything they wanted from the beginning.

It's a black comedy the whole way and it's hilarious. Love it when the characters misquote phrases, use malapropisms, and say other stupid things in an attempt to sound smart or deep.

And the intervention scene is hilarious.

The correct way to watch The Sopranos is as a dark comedy about families breaking down and the American Dream dying, but wrapped up in a mob theme

Exactly. From even the first episode.

"I came in at the end. The best is over." Tony is talking about the mafia and Melfi says "Many Americans feel that way", which shows it goes both ways.
