The D-Pad is trash. You can activate diagonals just by hitting one direction. Like if you hit right on the D-Pad but closer towards the top, it will activate Up-Right.

While you technically can do that it in my experience actually takes a concerted effort to do that. You don't do it by accident, at least I don't.In a chill environment, I never do it. But in a high pressure gaming session such as playing a fighting game online where you are trying to get in inputs as quickly as possible, it happens all the time.
