man HOA making everyone pay $10k suddenly

Wanted to check in. Im sitting at my HOA meeting and they confirmed that 52% of people are behind on/owe dues bruh

(which of course is a big deal when we need the money to pay insurance) Im just nervous sitting here

So they aren't really that powerful if they can't compel half of the residents to actually pay
