Probably has to do with a bunch of sex crimes and other criminal activity that the WWE has gotten away with for years.

He's not wrong, but maybe not the best way to present that case.

Last night I was lying in bed, staring at the stars, and I wondered... Where the **** is my roof?

Less of an analogy and more of a direct shot at their former chairman.

I mean he's not entirely wrong considering everything about Vince's shenanigans.

He's not wrong about the WWE honestly. You don't get to pretend that didn't happen just because you kicked a guy out a few months ago.

He could have just picked, you know, a popular rival beverage brand?

And it doesn't even work as a shot at Vince, it's just a slap in the face of everyone else in the company.

Tony has happily featured Ric Flair and Mike Tyson on his show on multiple occasions so maybe he isnt the right guy to be throwing stones from his glass house there.

AEW is Pepsi.
WWE is Harvey Weinstein.

What the fuck is he trying to say?

Drink Pepsi. It's not as tasty as Coke, but it's a lot better than rape.

I heard the Pepsi thing and the Weinstein thing separately through memes. I'm even more befuddled now that I know they were the same(?) analogy(?)

leveraging that at WWE is.....SLIGHTLY less crappy than it would be normally, I guess.

Tony and a lot of AEW fans try to do this thing where they act like they're morally superior to WWE and their fans despite the fact they've hired many questionable people who are scum in some fashion.

Of course it was. So is what Ric Flair did. People like Chris Jericho supporting Republicans is pretty deplorable too. It wouldn't be an issue if Tony and many fans didn't act like they're superior and do this grandstanding. It reeks of hypocrisy.

So just having someone on the payroll being a republican is equivalent to a sexual abuser and rapist?

Someone who willingly supports, donates money to, and gives the spotlight to a political party that wants to take away the rights of women, minorities, LGBT+ people, and more amongst other heinous things is petty damn bad.

Republicans are shit but considering how widespread they are, its hard to faulthuge companies for hiring them

Its not on the same level as someone who covered up a murder, drove a woman to suicide, and pinned another woman down while doing... bathroom things on her

A company and their fans shouldn't be up on their high horses and act morally superior when the company also has some problematic people there. That's the issue. Tony can't make fun of Vince doing bad things to women while hiring someone who did bad things to women. You can't excuse one form of SA just because it wasn't as egregious as the other nor all the other bad things.
