Politicians are like Human Resource Reps - disliked and spineless, but ultimately shills of the much more powerful executives (the rich) that run the company.
The rich are the lowest in numbers, but have the power and influence to do the most vile things. If even half of them are bad, that's more dangerous than an angry mob of poor people.
