This is very likely. I think that we are seeing the result of the "groomer" panic started by the right. While it primarily targets LGBTQIA+'s, there has nonetheless been significant bleed over into fear of hetero grooming as well.
I guess that is the one and only silver lining of this stupid panic-- the female teacher on male student incidents are finally being taken seriously by western society.
