In this moment, I am euphoric

Not because of any phony gods blessing

But because I am enlightened by my Lamarigence

Drake is a producer on the euphoria...which has a shady show runner and lot of underaged sex allegations.

Diddy 2.0 incoming

Bro Drake is the easiest target, but I'm fucking here for it

The show and the atheist meme for me.

But I listen to some of the tracks. I'm liking it so far.
DI MOLTO!
Even though this is an absolute win, the thing is that Drake is so disconnected from the core of the culture/has so much outside support that even a total L like he suffered from Pusha can't kill him. Because it's the core culture that's super concerned with authenticity, who wins a beef, ghostwriting etc, other people just wanna hear catchy rhymes and shake their ass.

I think the only thing that could take Drake out is a Diddy situation, combined with an L like this, so he'd have no support left.
I gotta be righteous, I gotta be me, I gotta be conscious, I gotta be free, I gotta be able, I gotta attack, I gotta be stable, I gotta be black.

I dont typically follow beef between artists. I just listen.
He's all alone through the day and night.
With that being said I did find the fact that Eminem made Machine Gun Kelly switch genres with his diss fucking hilarious.

Yes, but he was raised almost entirely by his at least middle class White Jewish Mother in Canada, where he only visited his black side of the family on summer vacation at the most.

Its an extremely strong criticism of both drake as an artist/musically and how positions himself, around black culture and black Americans specifically.

at almost every step of his career Drake has noth idealized an black rap artist or attached himself to a movement to give himself credibility he doesnt naturally have.

Early in his career, he wanted to be a Joe budden Kanye fusions, and repped Virginia.

Right as he started to blow up, he was hanging in Houston and paired himself with lil Wayne.

After the meek mill diss and his street credibility was ruined he attached himself to future and ATL street music.

TLDR:

its a well know fact to long term fans, drake has some level of an identity crisis, which is actually pretty common in biracial people

Gotcha. I've never liked Drake. I've pretty much kept myself from knowing much about him or any of his music/career.
I got a son to raise, but I can see you dont know nothing bout that.

This was fucking brutal.

i dont disagree with most of this, but are you implying meek mill won his beef with drake? Think what you want about drake but meek mill got thrashed in that one

No its not that drake lost that battle.

He just didnt come out unscathed like people seem to think.

The ghost writing accusations still haunt drake to this day.

that and drake beating the street dude meek in a beef at that time gave him an opportunity for street cred he never had.

if you remember a lot of the drake so soft memes stopped around then, partially because he had dropped 2 of his best projects back to back around that time, partially his relationship with future.

So youre saying Drake won his beef with Meek, who attached a lot of his name to being hard, and somehow lost street cred for it? I dont understand what youre arguing here

Drake straight up calls himself a singing dude who isnt hard in Back to Back. He came out about as unscathed as you can in a viral diss beef, especially as the underdog

re reading this I noticed I contradict myself with a term street cred.

Im kind of using it as both a term for his respect among his peers, and his respect among the culture.

After his battle with meek, drake has to carry the ghost writing allegations with him forever and it really fucks with his credibility as an artist.

But beating someone in a beef like that gave drake the opportunity to get more respect around the culture itself, and shed the soft label he had, and he used future to cement that.

Drake was pretty bulletproof until the pusha t situation brought him back down a peg (that and his music suffering)

Okay, i guess i mostly agree then. I just dont think a lot of people ever genuinely thought drake was hard like that despite how he portrayed himself
