Then I'll say no but also yes. I don't think we need to gatekeep what's a bridge too far for people to dislike something; someone can dislike or not be into an adaptation for whatever reason they want, even if it's something as nebulous as a vibe. On the other hand, I do think accepting that adaptations aren't going to be 1 to 1 and being willing to compromise with your vision of the series to experience another that could also be a lot of fun if you let yourself like it is going to make you happier in the long run.
