BR1 was pretty janky and felt more like a tech demo than an actual game but I still loved the characters, the atmosphere, and the OST. It was a very comfy game to play >_> I like it, but I know it definitely isnt a "good" game and most people would probably dislike it.

BR2 was better in every way except atmosphere and it was a blast. Ao might be one of my favorite video game protagonists: she was a lot of fun. And the game was a joy to go through

Then they made some long ass 26 episode anime tie-in that apparently was slow and boring and no one really liked it from what I heard >_> (I havent seen it)

Then they made some trash mobile gacha game that barely lasted a year before going under. Plus everyone got pissed off cuz of the protag drama lol (which I dont care about it, but the drama is really funny to me)

It sucks that out of 4 pieces of media in this series, only 1 of them I would consider good >_> (BR2). I can tell it has potential to be something awesome but they keep fucking it up in weird ways every other time. I dont see BR3 coming out after those last 2 failures and that sucks

Reading on it, it looks like it ran terribly on Vita lol. The PS4 or Switch version is probably better.

The PC version of BR1 is kinda fucked up >_> It defaults to integrated graphics and I had some issues with the camera controls. Thankfully it wasnt too bad to fix. BR2 actually runs good on PC and is a good port thankfully

Same, I loved both games and hated seeing it swept under the rug. Recently saw the anime and it was just alright, but it did make me want a third game.

The 1st game is on PS4, and PC.

2nd game is on PS4, Switch, and PC. afaik the switch versions run fine

Slow, the latter half is fine but the first half is at best boring. If you don't already have an easy way to watch, I wouldn't go out of my way.

The length isn't the problem, it's it being boring. It being longer would be a plus if it was great. That said I never played the games just watched the first couple episodes with a friend.

You can probably start on 2 and be fine. You'll just miss out on the backstory of certain characters but it isnt that important in the grand scheme imo

I actually prefer BR1 over 2. 2's combat was bad, but really liked 1's. (and it has my waifu Nishida in it)

Anime is mediocre and has some of the worst "quality" moments I've seen in an anime

If you're still looking for opinions, I'd grab it at that price. BR2 has some irritating missables for a completionist and is a very easy game, but is otherwise solid. It'a fine to jump into it first; you can always find a way to play the original if you become interested.
