Whoever came up with the concept of "selfmade millionaire/billionaire/success", I'm positive was also really bloody rich, manipulative, and deserves jail time for swaying the masses in the wrong direction.
We all know that most people had a ton of help to make it to the top, but the general sentiment of being scornful to someone who achieves their success is what angers me because wealth generation for most people is a team effort; generally
across multiple generations
. Your family is your biggest asset. Having them financially support your endeavor directly, them letting you live in their house while you sort yourself out and get your career going, those are all critical support that allows you to take on opportunities that normally wouldn't be available to you. The investment doesn't have to stop once you reach a legal adult status but too many people think otherwise.
But back to the topic, Elon Musk was an early internet pioneer. To see the potential in the technology and jump on board to help bring it to life always earns my respect in my book, especially as one following their footsteps with the Web3 revolution.
