That's incredibly silly. I'm not surprised that Republicans seem to be okay with this, though. They'll accept anything with the right spin. They see lab grown meat as "liberal stuff" so they're somehow going to justify it in their mind as being the right move.
Even though it directly goes against the free market and personal choice, two things they claim to be in favor of. It's pretty cringe tbh
