Strawberries are very strange in that the actual fruit itself doesn't taste very good but it's an amazing flavor for syrup, milk, lemonade, cake and milkshakesThey don't taste very good if you get them from a bad supplier and don't wait for them to ripen, I guess?

And it's not just that it's bitter. Some bitter foods are delicious, like coffee. It's not even just that it's both. Limes are both sour and bitter, and they're delicious.

to be fair, everyones tastebuds are different. Case in point, I literally cannot stand Salmon. It's way too sweet for me. But you give me a lemon? I can recognize that the lemon is sour, but it doesn't bother me, I quite enjoy it.

I really don't like grapefruit. I can drink a squirt and eat a slice, but they've never been that great to me. They're....like bitter. It's great with sugar, sure. But so is many things, I'll grab other fruit in that case, not sugar.
