I can't decide.
This is where cool people write stuff.
maybe Salvation.

it's the most forgettable, for me.

I haven't seen Dark Fate but out of the rest Genisys is the worst. I don't think Emilia Clarke is a bad actor generally but she was a terrible Sarah Connor.

Genisys is proof that fan fiction writers can make it in Hollywood.

Genisys was so bad it made me not bother to see Dark Fate.

The first one.

I've only seen 1 and 2.

T3, haven't seen Salvation or Genisys though.

I want to watch Salvation at some point and I liked Dark Fate enough just for bringing back Linda Hamilton.

also i was listening to a video from Tim Cain's Youtube channel yesterday about considerations to take when developing settings in a post-apocalyptic world, and he made the incredibly obvious observation that i have never ever ever thought about before, that it makes no sense for Skynet to wage a traditional war on humanity with nukes and bombers and laser guns and stuff, which destroys infrastructure and resources that the machines could potentially utilize, when it could instead just develop and release a deadly virus that would wipe out all humans without touching the environment.

Dark Fate ruined the whole franchise in the first five minutes so probably that one.
I've only seen 1, 2 and the one with christian bale and I thought that one sucked. They should've stopped after 2, just tainting the franchise after that.
I will go on record and say that I don't mind 3. I actually like the idea of sending things back continually fucking with the timeline. ALSO, all they had to do was explain it away of them not showing them grab Arnold's ripped off arm in 2 and bam, new Cyberdyne shit going on.
Rage is a hell of an anesthetic.
Genisys and it's not even close.

Salvation is my least favorite because of Bale now that I think about it.

Only one I haven't seen is Dark Fate. Of the ones I watched, Salvation was the most trash, and it's not even close.
This is a signature.
They're all trash after 2. They've progressively gotten worse.

Again, at least 3 started off with a different premise. Where it was like "Ok, well fuck John Connor, let's just fuck his whole world up instead!" as opposed to all the others that were more specifically "No, it HAS to be John Connor!"

Dark Fate is easily the worst one and a giant f you to any fan of the franchise.

I mean 2 is among the GOAT films. 3 was never going to live up to it, and it was mediocre at best. But 2 to 3 was a huge drop in quality and entertainment, 3 to 4 was a drop as well, I feel like genisys had a good idea ruined by a terrible director and spoiling everything in the trailers. Plus they butchered the film and cut out characters, it felt like a studio caused mess, like The Predator, F4ntastic, and whatever else.

6 tried something new and it honestly wasn't terrible, but it was also a low rent action movie, unable to even match the magic 1 and 2 had.

In short they've all been novel concepts but they've all completely failed the final product.

I don't see what's so hard about making a film that isn't shitting on the legacy, but here we are, a dead franchise later.

yeah, same
Genisys was the worst one to me (although I haven't seen Salvation or Dark Fate), in part because it seemed like the writers looked at The Sarah Connor Chronicles (the TV series, for anyone unfamiliar with it), which is my favorite bit of the franchise, and took one of the awesome bits of it (the increasingly convoluted nature of the timeline due to the constant time travel by...well...everyone), and then completely misunderstood how to make it work.
T3 is underrated and overly hated. I think some people only hate it to fit in, or because they think they're supposed to hate it.

It had great action scenes, a great villain, a great score, a great haunting ending. Seriously, what's not to like about T3?
By Grabthar's Hammer....what a savings.
Never seen Dark Fate but it looks so stupid.

Genisys isn't as bad as people say it is.

I look at 2-3 the same as I do Predator or Robocop 1-2. They weren't BAD movies, it's just they had to follow all time fucking goats and no matter what, it was always going to suck.
Rage is a hell of an anesthetic.
T3 I find to be the most insulting to t2 so that. Their reason for not stopping judgment day was nuh uh we want more money. Atleast Genysis was like fuck it we know this doesn't make sense so let's have fun. And Dark Fate respected that Judgment Day was stopped and created a new (but just a reskin) threat.
Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.

It still had Sarah in it. I can't take the franchise seriously when it's all about one family. Say what you want about Star Wars but at least they make it clear there's other stuff going on in the galaxy besides the Skywalkers. With Terminator John Connor and friends are the only part of the machine war that gets any attention. There have to be other successful generals over the world making a dent against the terminators.

I just haven't been able to stand Bale since that audio leak of him acting like an ass. The movie itself didn't feel like a Terminator movie on top of it.

Disagree. I enjoy T2, but its hardly the . Its not even Camerons best work, let alone greatest of all time.

And 6 not terrible?! It did nothing short of retroactively ruin the entire series. It actually makes the series worse for existing.
i actually got through genisys, as shitty as it was
i've never gotten through salvation and i've tried at least three times

salvation is really a giant pile of crap

It should be Dark Fate, but Genisys has possibly the worst writing of any movie ever made so it "wins".
Dark fate. Loved the first half and what they were doing was interesting. It quickly nosedives after sarah joins in the frey.
Dark Fate.

People sleep on the first half of Salvation. I really wish they stuck to the desert guerrilla warfare stuff. It's kind of what Dark Fate tried to do again but sadly they had to respin the whole IP.

Genisys made me feel legitimately bad for Emilia Clarke. As did Marvels Secret Invasion.

If I were her I would fire my manager immediately. Shes better than this.
He's all alone through the day and night.
Its 3 or 5 for me, went with 3 on my vote. But 5 was pretty awful too.

I know 4 gets a lot of hate, but I give it credit for expanding the post-Judgement Day world. It also had fairly good performances from everyone, while 3 had maybe one decent performance and 5 just flopped around like a fish on land (we can blame the writing or director, but it was still garbage).

6 tried something the others didn't.

I still stand by that if they filmed the Salvation script instead of ceding power to Bale over character control, it could have been a legitimately good film. Instead they shoehorned in Bale to all the random action scenes, when he was supposed to simply be a voice on the radio instead of a front line fighter.

I enjoyed every movie in the series except the one with no time travel. The one set in the future
I've only seen T1, T2, and Dark Fate.

Salvation. That one really didn't stick with the formula at all. The rest have all involved time travel and a single terminator on the hunt. I don't think Salvation even had a main terminator with a significant role.

Genisys is the one I've seen the most hate for online. I tapped out of the series after Salvation, which was... decent at best.

unpopular opinion, but after the first Terminator, Dark Fate is my second favorite one.

after that, I don't really care about the ordering...with the exception of Salvation being last.
