You make it out like it was not a strategic decisionThe next guy would be worse unless it was Hakeem Jeffries
Its a big waste of time trying to choose another oneyeah it would stop them from passing all those helpful bills
You make it out like it was not a strategic decisionWhat guarantees did they get? What legislation is Johnson going to help pass now?
It's a strategy to neuter the twitter faction of the Republican party. Every time they fail it reduces their influence and power.
Never underestimate that crowds ability to recruit ever more goofy goobers from Hicksville in order to remain a thorn in greater politics side, friend.
What guarantees did they get? What legislation is Johnson going to help pass now?The bipartisan bills are the most depraved like FISA and KOSA.
I guarantee not a single republican would ever save a democrats job.Republicans wouldn't piss on a baby if it was on fire.
If they are fighting among each other then they can do less harm. But dems always fight for Republicans.
The next guy would be worse unless it was Hakeem Jeffries
Except for the last time they didn't save the speaker....
If they are fighting among each other then they can do less harm. But dems always fight for Republicans.Zero good happened when the government shut down. The House can't really do anything "bad" because the Senate and White House wouldn't approve of it anyway without it being bipartisan.
I guarantee not a single republican would ever save a democrats job.I guarantee no Republican would ever save a job. Period.

You are, as usual, wrong and also incredibly shortsighted.

Wasn't this part of the compromise to get the Ukraine aid through?More for Israel than Ukraine.

The government didn't shut down, they passed continuing resolutions to keep the government open until a Speaker was chosen. While both are incompetent, Johnson is less knowledgeable, experienced but smarter.
Anyway either way there's a fumble here. Either McCarthy shouldn't have been thrown out or Johnson should've been thrown out too. There is no way to argue it was a good idea before but a bad idea now when Johnson is literally more extreme than McCarthy.
Nothing I stated was wrong. You are defended bull shit from the dems as usual. And nothing is short sided by pointing that they helped stablized the Republicans. Them fighting is a win for democrats.Democrats aren't fighting for Republicans. That is what you said and it is wrong. They aren't stabilizing the Republicans. They are stabilizing the government at best, if you want to word it that way. You are very short sighted. Hell, under Johnson Republicans are losing seats with people just walking away. While Democrats still get some legislation they want done. Republicans fighting does not help Democrats right now(because they wouldn't be able to get anything passed) nor later, because people will vote out do nothing Dems. They like do nothing Republicans.
The government didn't shut down, they passed continuing resolutions to keep the government open until a Speaker was chosen.Sorry, I didn't mean shut down. I don't know why I worded it that way. I meant that the government essentially couldn't function. Not much could happen without a Speaker of the House, really.
More for Israel than Ukraine.No. A clean Israel funding bill was DOA already. One without the funding swaps from other US programs. And Biden said if it somehow did get to his desk he would veto one. No funding for Israel without Ukraine and the other stuff. This was a sticking point for the Democrats.
