I only use GameFAQs. Did anything major change with those sites? Like removing boards or changing rules.

Seems like they closed the Political Gamers board on GameSpot.
GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site. -CJayC

Seems like GameSpot got some serious glitches, like linking to the wrong URL and having a forum search function that stopped working 9 months ago for no reason, and it never gets fixed.

Gamespot is pretty much dead, and IGN is pretty much the default gaming website for casuals now. Just compare the comments on IGN compared to GS.

As for Metacritic, a while back Fandom introduced a pointless redesign that broke much of its search features. You can no longer look up a specific company's ratings for instance.

Can't have anything referencing polarizing politics when talking about what's on TV
